We built Jotter for one reason
NZ trades teams deserve a simpler way to get job data into Xero. Not a 200-feature platform with a two-hour onboarding. Just the core workflow: track the job, log the time, record the materials, send the invoice.
Today, Jotter Jobs is live on the App Store and Google Play.
What Jotter does
- Job tracking -- Create jobs, add line items, assign customers from your Xero contacts list.
- Built-in timers -- Start a timer on any line item. It shows on your Lock Screen (iPhone) or notification bar (Android), even when the app is closed. Run multiple timers at once.
- Xero invoicing -- When you mark a job complete, it syncs to Xero as an invoice. Customer, line items, descriptions, quantities, pricing -- all filled in automatically.
- Offline-first -- Every feature works without internet. New builds, basements, rural sites -- Jotter works where your phone signal doesn't. Everything syncs when you reconnect.
- Team management -- Invite your team with a link. Assign jobs, control what they can see, hide prices if needed.
- Industry packs -- Pre-configured item tags for 10 trades: plumbing, electrical, building, drainage, and more.
What Jotter does not do
We believe in being upfront. Jotter does not include fleet tracking or GPS. If you need those features, tools like Tradify or Fergus may be a better fit. If what you actually need is a simple way for your team to schedule work, track jobs, and get invoices into Xero, that is exactly what we built.
Pricing
Free plan: 2 seats, every feature, no time limit. No credit card required. Use it forever if it suits your needs.
Paid plans start at $69.99/month for 5 seats -- that is $14 per seat. For context, comparable tools charge $48-75 per user per month. We are about 70% less expensive, and every feature is included on every plan.
